nope. i still don’t believe it. it was 13 below this morning in lovely manchvegas - no signs of global warming here. move along.
actually i think most people around here would welcome a bit og global warming right now. and it’s supposed to get even colder tonight. reminds me of the good old days up in berlin nh. bah we’ll get through it.

well kind of. i had lost about 25 pounds as of september 2008. then the twins were born and i gained back about 15 or so of that. in my defense it was the holidays as well and turkey and gravy are really my downfall.
so now i am back to a diet that my nutritionist and i set up. which is basically no carbs after lunch and no after dinner snack. plus drink plenty of water no soda and 1 to 2 cups of coffee a day with as little cream and sugar as i can do. as well as being gluten free. so there is that.
i should be back to losing weight again, soon.

well it’s monday january 5, 2009. can’t say i missed work all that much. really enjoy not working and spending time with my family. the house is still in need of cleaning, laundry needs to be done, clothes need to be put away, homeschooling has to start back up. my poor wife has a lot on her plate, not to mention 4 month old twin boys plus the older 3. just a busy busy schedule.
i would really like to help more, but alas i must work. so i try to do what i can at night and weekends - which seems woefully inadequate. me thinks if we can slug it out through the winter the craziness will subside….a bit. i think once the twins are a bit more self soothing and michelle can put them down to play it will be better.
after the crazy long weekend we just had - we need another one just to recoup. my poor wife had no rest though she had to bring the boys to therapy this morning, leaving the house at 9 am. needless to say it has been a long day for her. i’ll be home soon to provide help. welcome 2009!

i know i know i keep getting side tracked with this css development gig. in all honesty since the twins were born it was and still is tough to find time to deal with the three oldest chitlins as well as take care of little things like make meals, do laundry, hold a twin or two, clean the house so that we are not tripping on mountains of clothes. throw intto the mix the christmas season, two birthdays and ice/snow storms and things have been a bit on the hectic side to say the least.
i am going to make it a 2009 resolution to try and get more development done and finish projects i have started. as the twins get older things are getting better, still crazy but better. heck i’m still trying to update to wordpress 2.7. ah well. i wouldn’t change it if i could. ok i’d change the amount of sleep michelle and i get. ummmm that would be more not less.
so that’s where things stand. i have ruff edge design to finish, i know cheryl is anxious to get things done as do i. plus i have the r.o.c.k. site to update as well as horroruniverse and a few other side projects to get done. so i have to get cracking. i’m learning more each day as getting a bit better as i go. i’m sure that i can get this going - just need more hours in a day. well 2008 has an extra second so you know in like 3600 years there will be an extra hour. that’ll come in handy.

the twins have not slept through the night yet. not that i should be expecting it anytime soon. ehtan was about 4 months old before he was sleeping through the night, and he is our best sleeper. we are closing in on 2 months old so we still have some time. you thought 1 baby took up room in our bed, try twins!
i told michelle that we needed a king bunk bed, that should be enough room for everyone that wants to wander over to our bed during the night. i think it would be nice, sheets would cost a fortune though.
i’m really just to spent to complain about the election. not that i really wanted mccain, but obama is just that much worse. hopefully sara palin will run in 2012. totally a.d.d. moment after writing 2012 i thought about rush’s album 2112, which i am now listening to….see a.d.d.
looks like new hampshire is now a blue state - what happened to my island in the liberal northeast. i feel so alone….

we went apple picking last friday at lull’s farm in hollis new hampshire. we had a great time. with the twins in tow no less! there was the 7 of us (wow still can’t believe it) plus michelle’s sister sherry and her 2 kids and 2 more of michelle’s friends and their kids (one per), plus francine. there was people a plenty. we took the john deere wagon to truck around josh and rebekah, made life much easier!
first stop was the pumpkin patch as josh called it, which was really a huge pile-o-pumpkins. trying to get a christmas photo - which failed miserably. josh wanted to run and play on the pumpkins, ethan had a scowl because he wanted to go pick apples and rebekah wanted to play with the other babies there. so after 15 minutes of that we headed to the orchard.
michelle stayed back at the store with the twins, who were wrapped in a moby so she was hands free with 2 sleeping babies worked out quite well for her. many people were shocked to see twins in there, one person wanted to take her picture, what really floored most people was when she told them that she has 3 more under the age of 6! so she had a great time browsing the farm stand, alone and quiet.
i on the other hand had 3 little ones running around picking apples from where ever they could reach. it took all of my keen observation skills to make sure that we got apples from the trees and not the ground. after about 5 minutes the bag was full and the kids kept bringing apples. they were so dang cute, i’d post pictures but as of yet they are still on the camera. like i have time to post AND download pictures.
all in all we had a great time! can’t waint until the twins are old enough for it!
